New Data Connection Diagram View
VAPS XT 5.1 introduces new data connection diagram providing a clean, efficient way to visualize the connection of data between objects. The new diagram view supports informal design ideas to allow system concepts to be explored before graphics and design specifics are available which aids in rapid development.
New UI Task Focused Control
New controls provide the ability to reconfigure the user interface in a task focused approach that matches development persona preferences with the ability to switch between multiple user interface configurations quickly.
New Pixel Precision Viewing
To assist with detailed graphics development additional pixel zoom controls help users to inspect how items will be rendered on a display. Fast toggle of the pixel zoom magnifier viewer or full canvas pixel zooming allows greater control and precision when positioning content.
New Editor Plugins
Flexible support of file exchange with 3rd Party Graphics and HMI tools has been introduced using a new set of editor plugins. Editor Plugins support the import and export of data models from VAPS XT to and from other tools. By moving to a plugin approach, regular updates and additional file formats can now be more easily added and supported. PACE or end users can build new plugins and trigger them from the desktop editor providing a streamlined development process within an Integrated Development Environment.
Web App Deployment
Expanding on the already extensive list of VAPS XT deployment platforms, VAPS XT 5.1 adds support of web application deployment allowing people to see interactive HMI displays within a web browser. Supporting Applications in a web browser reduces the need to create executables for different devices. Desktop PCs, Tablets & Mobile devices can now view and access the HMI application via a Web Browser all at the same time allowing wider usage for simulation, testing & improving review process.
